Fathala Wildlife Reserve in Senegal

A day trip to Fathala Game Reserve will start with an early pick up from the hotel or place of lodging. We will drive to Banjul to board the ferry to Barra where we will take an open safari jeep to pass through the Senegal border checkpoint to stamp our passports. We will drive to the reserve to enjoy an three hour game drive in an open jeep.

The Fathala Wildlife Reserve is an area of 6000 hectare of dry savanna and grasslands that play host to herds of classic African mammals such as the rare West African Giant Eland, Defassa Waterbuck, Roan Antelope, Zebra’s, Giraffe’s Buffalo’s and various species op primates and a fantastic variety of birdlife and an optional lion walk offered by the reserve gives you the opportunity to have a close encounter with Africa’s most charismatic mammal.. It;s mammal day today but I cann’t promise you that we will not look after birds too.
